What’s Included in Your Personalized TCM Wellness Report?
A personalized wellness report should help you understand what has been reviewed, which everyday habits deserve attention, and how to read the guidance provided.
At Ancient Root, Dr. Tianwei Zhu reviews your questionnaire and tongue photographs together before preparing your educational TCM wellness report. The aim is to present the information in clear language, with practical priorities and relevant safety notes.
Here is an overview of what your report may contain—and how to approach it.
A Summary of Your Wellness Concerns
The opening summary brings together the main concerns and background information you shared.
Rather than repeating every questionnaire answer, it highlights details relevant to the review. These may include your sleep, energy, digestion, eating patterns, stress, and daily routine.
Read this section first. It helps you understand the context for the guidance that follows. If an important personal detail has been recorded incorrectly, contact Ancient Root rather than assuming the recommendations still apply unchanged.
Questionnaire Review and Tongue-Photo Observations
Your questionnaire provides the context for your reported concerns. Tongue-photo observations are considered alongside that information.
The report may explain relevant observations and describe them within a TCM wellness framework. Any unfamiliar terminology should be read together with its plain-language explanation.
A tongue photograph is not a laboratory test, and a TCM wellness interpretation is not the same as a medical diagnosis. The online service does not include a physical examination or an in-person pulse assessment.
Diet and Daily-Routine Guidance
Depending on your circumstances, the report may discuss eating habits, daily schedules, rest, activity, and other practical aspects of your routine.
Personalization means considering the life you actually lead. Someone working changing shifts may need different priorities from someone with a regular daytime schedule.
The guidance is intended to help you identify manageable actions, rather than present a long list of changes to make all at once. Read the priorities and any precautions before deciding how to use the recommendations.
Herbal Considerations, Where Appropriate
Some reports may include herbal considerations when the practitioner considers them appropriate. This section is not automatically included in every report.
Do not treat an unfamiliar herbal reference as a reason to start taking a product independently. Herbal products can carry risks, and the information should be considered alongside your medications, allergies, and existing care. NCCIH guidance on TCM safety
The online consultation does not include shipment of herbal products.
Illustrated Acupressure Guidance
Where appropriate, your report may include acupoint-location illustrations, gentle non-needling self-care guidance, and relevant precautions.
Acupressure guidance is different from acupuncture treatment. The illustrations show point locations; they are not instructions for inserting needles. An acupuncture treatment session is not included in the online consultation.
Read the written guidance and safety notes together with each illustration. If something is unclear, ask for clarification rather than guessing at the location or technique.
A Seven-Day Action Plan and Safety Notes
The action plan organizes the report’s priorities into an initial period you can review and refer back to.
Seven days is a planning structure—not a promise that a health concern will resolve within a week. The report may also include personalized precautions and reminders relevant to your circumstances.
Start with the summary, read the recommendations and safety notes, then return to the action plan. You do not need to understand every TCM term before identifying the practical points.
What the Report Does Not Replace
Ancient Root provides educational wellness information, not medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care. Continue working with qualified healthcare professionals for medical concerns and medication decisions.
Report content varies with your circumstances and the information provided; not every optional section will appear in every report.
